Spiced butternut squash smoothie

Fall is here, and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious, nutrient-packed Spiced Butternut Squash Smoothie? 🍂🎃 Made with our wholesyum butternut squash purée hearts, we’ve found a way to toast pumpkin spice season while sipping a delicious serving of veg and warming spices. This smoothie is quick, wholesome, and will keep you and your little ones fueled during your busy days! 💪🍁

Ingredients:

8 frozen wholesyum butternut squash hearts

1 frozen banana (i peel and dice prior to putting into the freezer)

1 cup of unsweetened milk (i use oat)

¼ plain yogurt or dairy free yogurt

1-2 tbsp of a nut butter of your choice (i use cashew)

½ tsp of allspice

½ tsp of cinnamon

½ tsp ground ginger

½ tsp of turmeric

Splash of Vanilla extract

Directions:

1. Toss everything in the blender—easy peasy! Start blending on low, then slowly increase the speed until it's nice and smooth.

Wholesyum Tips:

If you like it thinner, just add a bit more liquid; if you want it thicker, go for less—totally up to you!

Get creative with toppings: sprinkle on your favorite seeds, nut shavings, or a dash of spice - whatever you like that sparks joy!

I always use frozen bananas for that perfect creamy texture, but feel free to mix it up with whatever you love! Want to boost the nutrition? Throw in some chia seeds, flaxseed powder, hemp hearts, or even a little extra fruit or protein powder.

Enjoy your delicious and wholesyum smoothie! It's quick, simple, and perfect for fueling your busy day.
